I thought I would share a funny little story for fun.  I had just bought an acreage, I brought along my cat whom I had already owned for many years.  A friend of mine had recently moved out of the country so she gave me her older farm dog.  Least to say, my cat (Skid) was outraged by this.  He obviously felt he would now have to prove himself more worthy than this horrible creature.
